Welcome to this course in the Digital Media Arts Department at Glendale Community College. My name is Michelle Blomberg and I am your instructor. You can call me Michelle or Ms. Blomberg; my last name has one o, not Bloomberg. I have worked as a graphic designer, web designer, marketing manager and instructional technologist, and I am now full-time faculty here at GCC. I am originally from Michigan and have close ties to Colorado, where I spend much of my time. My husband is a professional photographer, and we have four children, all in college. I love camping, snowboarding and mountain biking. My bachelor’s degree is in visual communications, and I returned to school later for a master’s degree in education; as a single parent, I could do that because of online learning. I believe in online learning for adults, and I hope this course helps you build your network, make new connections and leave ready for the next step.
