Get to know your Instructor (audio)

Welcome to this course in the Digital Media Arts Department at Glendale Community College. My name is Michelle Blomberg and I will be your instructor. You can call me Michelle or Ms. Blomberg. Please note my last name has one o, it’s not Bloomberg. I have worked as a graphic designer, web designer, marketing manager, instructional technologist and for the past 16 years as a full time faculty member here at GCC. I am originally from Michigan and I have ties to Colorado, where I spend a lot of my time. I have a husband who is a professional photographer and 4 teenagers, my twins are in college and we have 2 high school seniors this year. I love camping, snowboarding and mountain biking. My Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree is in Visual Communications and I went back to school for my master’s degree in Education later in life. Since I was a single parent, I was able to do this because of instructional technology and online learning. I know it can be a challenge to some, but I believe in online learning for adults and I hope you are able to get a lot out of this online class including making new friends, networking and learning a lot.
