AI Mentor
Student Success Tools · Case study
Runs by copy and paste now, planned as a Gemini skill once student Gemini accounts are on.

Goal
Most career advice assumes the student already knows what they want. Students who do not know their next move stall, and a list of forty tasks makes it worse. The goal is one move the student can finish this week.
Audience
Capstone students, whether they are applying for jobs, going freelance, or still deciding.
Process
It says it is an AI, and it asks before it advises. After every step the student pastes in an update: where each job stands, what each panel asked for, the gap list so far, and whether they have a human mentor yet. It helps them choose which openings to go after, work through a panel’s changes without writing for them, and practice what the interview flagged. Until the student has a human mentor, every check-in ends with one small step toward finding one. At the end it returns three plans: professional development, networking, and finding a human mentor. Every reply ends with one thing to do this week.
