Design history, taught by students
In the classroom
Students learn design history by teaching it, each pair building an interactive tool for their era.

What it is
A design history unit where students learn the material by teaching it: each pair takes an era and builds an interactive tool that teaches it to the class.
Who it’s for
Design students who retain more by making and explaining than by memorizing.
The goal
Turn a lecture-heavy subject into active, student-led learning, with a real artifact at the end.
How it works
Pairs research an era and build an interactive teaching tool for it. An optional extra-credit version is an AI vibe-coding challenge that lets students build with AI, with no coding required.
