Description

Your final portfolio is the central artifact of your professional identity. This is the version you will present at the final portfolio presentation, the one employers and clients look at when considering whether to hire you.

Learning Objectives

By completing this assignment you will be able to:

  • Curate and present a professional online portfolio with at least 5 projects
  • Write compelling descriptions for each project
  • Present your work consistently with your identity system

Steps

  1. Review all feedback from your midterm presentation and portfolio check-in.
  2. Make sure your portfolio has at least 5 projects with a description for each covering: goals, your role, your process, and the outcome.
  3. Add your name and a professional tagline (not ‘I am a student’), something like ’3D animator specializing in creature and VFX work.’
  4. Include a professional headshot and a banner image.
  5. At least one project should show process work, sketches, storyboards, a design brief, or a time-lapse.
  6. Make sure your portfolio URL is clean and easy to type.
  7. Submit your final portfolio URL here.

Example

Browse the Freelancers for Hire section on Behance for inspiration on how working professionals present their work.

Your portfolio should answer one question for every visitor: “Should I contact this person about work?”

Submit your final portfolio URL here in Canvas.
