Post-Graduation Action Plan
This assignment measures Module Objective 5.3, which supports Course Competency 1.
Objectives
- 5.3 Evaluate a three-month post-graduation plan against your Personal Goals Statement and revise the items that do not fit. (Course Competency 1)
Overview
This assignment produces a week-by-week plan for the three months after graduation. Gemini drafts the plan from a detailed prompt you write. Your grade comes from the prompt and from your judgment about the draft: what you changed, what you cut, and why.
10 points, Exercises. About 3 hours.
Instructions
- Write a prompt that gives Gemini what it needs: the software you know and want to learn, the kind of work you want, whether you will relocate or work remotely, the platforms you already have (LinkedIn, Behance, ArtStation, Google Sites), any specific goals, and a start date of May 15. Ask for the plan week by week with tasks and estimated hours in categories (portfolio, job search, networking, skill development).
- Remove your phone number, email and street address before you paste anything into Gemini. Paste the prompt into Gemini with your Maricopa account and generate the plan. Revise the prompt at least once.
- Mark at least three items you changed or cut, and explain each change against your Personal Goals Statement in one or two sentences.
- Add your AI-use log row.
Example
“I am graduating in May with a two-year animation degree. I have LinkedIn and Behance set up. My strongest software is Cinema 4D, and many postings ask for Maya, which I do not know yet. I want 3D animation work in games or film effects and I am open to relocating. Build a three-month plan starting May 15, week by week, with tasks and estimated hours for portfolio, job search, networking and learning Maya.”
Accessibility
Make the document readable by a screen reader: use real heading styles (Heading 1 and Heading 2 in Google Docs or Word, paragraph styles in InDesign), keep text contrast high, add alt text to every image or logo, and export a tagged PDF (InDesign: Create Tagged PDF; Word or Google Docs: keep document structure tags on when you save as PDF).
Submission
Upload one document with your prompt, its revision, the plan with your three marked changes and explanations, and your AI-use log row.
