Intro to Digital Arts redesign
In the classroom
Led the redesign of the program’s highest-enrollment, lowest-success course around student support and connection.

What it is
A ground-up redesign of Intro to Digital Arts, the program’s highest-enrollment and lowest-success course, rebuilt around student support, connection, and belonging.
Who it’s for
First-time digital arts students, many new to college, who need an on-ramp that keeps them enrolled and moving.
The goal
Raise success in the course by designing for the real reasons students leave, measured by the change in success rate rather than by content added.
How it works
The redesign is grounded in retention data and focused on the early, high-risk weeks. Michelle led the effort with a team; it was a led redesign, not a solo rebuild.
