Having a LinkedIn profile is not the same as using LinkedIn to network. This assignment takes you beyond the basics of setup and into active networking, connecting with industry professionals and positioning yourself as a professional rather than a student.

Steps
- Watch: Learning LinkedIn for Students (free, no login required). Focus especially on the networking sections.
- Update your profile to include: a professional headshot, a headline (e.g., ’3D Animator | Cinema 4D & Houdini | Seeking VFX Roles’), an About section in first person as a professional, your education, all relevant skills, and links to your Behance, portfolio, and/or Vimeo/YouTube.
- Set your job-seeking preferences so recruiters know you are open to opportunities.
- Connect with at least 3 classmates, 2 instructors or professors, and join 1 professional group related to your industry.
- Take a screenshot of your completed profile and upload here.
