Description

OBS Studio is free, open-source screen recording software you will use throughout this course for portfolio presentations, elevator pitches, mock interviews, and more. This assignment walks you through the full setup.

Learning Objectives

By completing this assignment you will be able to:

  • Configure OBS Studio with a face-camera overlay and screen capture
  • Record and upload a short test video to YouTube
  • Confirm your school YouTube account is accessible

Steps

  1. Watch: How to set up OBS and upload to YouTube. PC users: also see Dr. Farina’s OBS Setup.
  2. Configure OBS with 3 inputs: webcam (face in the bottom-right corner), screen capture, and microphone audio.
  3. Record a 10-second test video that shows: your face in the bottom-right, your Behance site on the main screen, your voice audible, and no OBS interface visible.
  4. Find your school YouTube account: go to Maricopa Gmail → 9-dot grid → YouTube.
  5. Upload your test video (can be set to private). Copy the URL.
  6. Submit the YouTube URL here.
