Module 7 · Portfolio and Course Review
Behance Portfolio
Objectives
- 7.1 Evaluate two projects from this course against design principles and accessibility in written rationales on your Behance page. (Course Competency 6; Evaluate)
This assignment measures Module Objective 7.1, which supports Course Competency 6.
Overview
Canvas access ends; your portfolio does not. Employers hire people who can show how they think.
Instructions
- Build or update your Behance profile with your name (or professional name), a headshot or avatar, a header image and a short professional description.
- Publish two projects from this course, each with process work (sketches, steps, critique changes), not only the final.
- For each project write a rationale of 100 to 200 words that evaluates the work against design principles and accessibility: what works, what you would change, and why.
- Add alt text to every image. Submit the profile URL; test it in a private window first.
Turning it in
- Post your work to #avc183-graphic-design-1 on Discord as PNG or JPG, with alt text, by noon the day before the due date.
- Comment on three classmates’ posts. Each comment names one design principle (or, in Module 4, one brand rule) and points to where it appears in the work.
- Screenshot your post and your three comments and compile them on one Miro board.
- Submit the Miro screenshot and your Behance URL to Canvas by noon on the due date.
AI use
Optional: Gemini may give feedback on your rationale drafts. Log it. The evaluation is yours. Record every use in your AI-use log. Gemini is used only with your Maricopa account.
