Module 5 · Your Own Brand
Your Brand Step 7: Three-Panel Instagram Campaign
Objectives
- 5.4 Apply your identity to a press-ready business card and a three-panel Instagram campaign built on one grid. (Course Competency 2; Apply)
This assignment measures Module Objective 5.4, which supports Course Competency 2.
Overview
Promote the brand you built. One message, split across three panels that share one grid.
Instructions
- Write a three-part message, one part per panel. Gemini may help you draft the copy; record that in your AI-use log.
- Sketch the grid by hand first, all three panels on one page.
- Build three 1080 by 1350 panels in Illustrator or InDesign. Each carries a heading, an image you have the right to use, and the logo. The grid is identical across all three; the message and imagery change.
- Pull rhetorical elements (shape, color, type treatment) from the logo so the campaign reads as the brand.
Turning it in
- Post your work to #avc183-graphic-design-1 on Discord as PNG or JPG, with alt text, by noon the day before the due date.
- Comment on three classmates’ posts. Each comment names one design principle (or, in Module 4, one brand rule) and points to where it appears in the work.
- Screenshot your post and your three comments and compile them on one Miro board.
- Submit the Miro screenshot, the three panels and your grid sketch to Canvas by noon on the due date.
AI use
Optional: Gemini may help draft the three-part message. Log it. Gemini never designs the panels or generates the images. Record every use in your AI-use log. Gemini is used only with your Maricopa account.
