Internship program
Experiential learning
Every student in the program is placed with a host employer, finishing with real client work, references, and a portfolio piece.

What it is
An internship program Michelle built for her program: a required placement she designed into the degree so every student works with a host employer on real professional projects before graduating. She created it for the program rather than inheriting an existing course.
Who it’s for
Students nearing the end of the program, and the employers who host them.
The goal
Make sure no one graduates without real workplace experience: real client work, professional references, and at least one strong portfolio piece.
How it works
Michelle works closely with the campus Career Services team to line up placements and match each student to the right host employer, then mentors students throughout the internship: checking in, coaching them on the work and on navigating a workplace, and helping them turn it into references and a portfolio piece. Because she built the internship into the program, it is a guaranteed part of finishing, not an optional extra.
